Blues News from Rockin In the Blue Year 2017

Pictured here is Kevin BF Burt with Pierre Lacocque of The Mississippi Heat. The year 2017 has come to a close and Rockin in The Blue Year was a great way to leap into the new year. Kevin BF Burt’s up front and personal style had the audience wrapped up with his original Blues music writing, and great guitar and harmonica playing, opening up the show for Pierre and The Mississippi Heat.
The Mississippi Heat brought the heat to the very cold Iowa night and kept the dance floor jumpin all night long. Both Kevin and the Mississippi Heat were fantastic and what a great way to finish up the blues for 2017. A big thanks to everyone including our sponsors who made this event possible, as the Southeast Iowa Blues Society continues to keep Da Blues alive in our own back yard.
