Blues News from November 18th

The Blues is alive and well with the Southeast Iowa Blues Society, and last night was another Blues night to remember.  The JeffCo Blues Explosion with Steve Mclain, Kevin Riley and Tim Carey, kicked the night off in high gear.  Their high gear, set the pace for the always, get your feet on the dance floor, Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin Altar Boys with West Side Andy on the harmonica.  Reverend Raven and West Side Andy did take time before the show to sign some posters for us, and some lucky SIBS members will get these.

Mark your Blues Calendar for our Rockin in the Blue Year, Saturday night December 30th at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center.  Opening that evening will be the Single/Duo Iowa Blues Challenge winner Kevin B.F. Burt, one of Iowa’s great Blues men.  The main event for the evening will feature the renowned Mississippi Heat, bringing their high energy, dance floor shakin, award winning red hot blues.  Keep an eye on our website for upcoming information for this event.
